5th Graders finished their garden class!
During the last six weeks of gardening, Mr. Fergunson’s class learned to rotate a garden from a warm season to cool-season crops. during this period students learned about seeds and how to save them for the next growing period. Compost-green & brown, dos & donts make for a good receipt.
The environment and a more sustainable planet were topics that did not go unnoticed. Students expressed their awareness about 21st-century problems during a garden presentation.
Because the garden is more than just a place for plants to thrive. it is also a place where the new leaders of the world are grown.
