It’s always so exciting to welcome a new class into the garden! It is so important to utilize this time to go over garden rules and behavior, so we start things off right from the start. I like to describe these rules as “agreements” because we are a team in the garden and we all have to work together to have a “winning” time while we are here. The students are always really helpful in contributing their ideas for keeping everyone and everything safe in the garden.
Finally, we are rewarded with some exploration time amongst the plants and a delicious harvest of our last watermelons and some fall radishes!
It’s always awesome when Mother Nature shows off with some particularly “love-ly” works of art. Beautiful and scrumptious!
